How A Team Consulting Limited collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

1. Overview

A Team Consulting Limited complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, in respect of personal information relating to individuals in Australia, the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. Purpose

This document explains how the company collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal data. This policy does not limit or exclude any of your rights under either Act.

3. Scope

This policy applies to all A Team Consulting employees and affiliates with regard to the collection of personal information plus any potential clients and customers, in both New Zealand and Australia.

4. Policy

4.1 Collection Sources

Personal information comes from you directly through the website, registration, contact, or service use, or from authorized third parties with publicly available information. Where we collect personal information about you from a source other than you directly, we will take reasonable steps, as soon as practicable, to let you know that we hold that information, where it came from, and how it will be used, unless an exception applies.

4.2 Use of Information

The company uses personal data to verify identity, provide services, market offerings, enhance products, process billing, respond to inquiries, conduct anonymized research, enforce legal rights, and comply with applicable laws.

4.3 Direct Marketing

If we use your personal information to contact you for direct marketing purposes, you may opt out of receiving further marketing communications at any time by contacting us using the details in section 4.11.

4.4 Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information to: any business that supports our services and products, a credit reference agency, other third parties, regulatory authorities, law enforcement agencies, any other person authorised by you.

4.5 Overseas Disclosure

Some of the service providers we use to run our business — including website hosting, customer relationship management, email and productivity tools, and accounting software — may store or process personal information on servers located outside New Zealand and Australia, including in the United States and other countries. Before disclosing personal information to an overseas person or organisation, we take reasonable steps to ensure it will be subject to privacy protections comparable to those under the applicable Act.

4.6 Security Measures

We take reasonable steps with our physical, technical, organisational and electronic security to protect your personal information.

4.7 Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted or destroyed.

4.8 Access and Corrections

Individuals may request access to their information or corrections by emailing info@ateamconsulting.co.nz with proof of identity.

4.9 Internet Use

Users acknowledge online data provision carries risk; publicly posted information is accessible to all.

4.10 Cookies

Our website uses two categories of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always on: on our Contact page, Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise sets cookies to protect our Salesforce contact form from spam and abuse, and without these we could not safely accept form submissions. Analytics cookies are optional: with your consent, we use Google Analytics (GA4) with IP anonymization enabled to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics only loads if you turn it on — it is off by default. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not sell personal information.

You can grant, withdraw, or review your analytics consent at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the website footer, or the button below.

4.11 Complaints

If you have concerns about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at info@ateamconsulting.co.nz. If you are in New Zealand and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz or 0800 803 909. If you are in Australia, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
